Split Pea And Broccoli Soup

1 cup Crossbow Yellow Split Peas

1 tbs butter 1 medium onion, finely chopped

1 garlic clove, minced

1 tsp turmeric powder 500ml fresh cream

½ cup grated

Cheddar cheese

2 cups broccoli florets, cleaned and rinsed salt and pepper, to taste

Cook the split peas according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Heat the butter and sauté the onion and garlic until soft. Add the turmeric powder and cook for a minute. Pour in the fresh cream and add the cheese. Stir. Add the split peas and broccoli. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Season to taste. |
