Ammen Awards 2022 nominations are now open

NOMINATIONS are open for the Shri Mariammen Temple Society’s Ammen Awards 2022.

The presentations will be made on Good Friday, on April 15.

The qualifying criteria entail persons or community organisations doing extraordinary work in the community consistently for six years and over.

The categories for nominations include: promotion of Hindu religion; promotion of Eastern languages; promotion of arts and culture; promotion of excellence in education; community socio-economic upliftment; excellence in media; and excellence in sports.

The nominator must provide a detailed CV of the nominee.

The applications must contain the contact information of both the nominator and the nominee. The nominations are open to all South Africans and close on March 15.
