Mom had a beautiful smile and heart

SEEMA PANDAY

MY TRIBUTE is to my late mom, Shirley Lilawathi Panday, of Phoenix, who passed away on August 20 this year at the age of 59. She spent her birthday in hospital sedated but she remembered it when she got up.

My mother was the strongest woman I knew. She was in hospital since June 6. She fought for her life in ICU when doctors initially gave her 24 hours to live.

She lost the battle due to an autoimmune disease. She was doing so well.

She was about to come home when she picked up another infection and passed on.

My mother was my dad’s eyes because he is semi-blind.

My dad has also been disabled for more than 30 years. She took care of him and raised three children.

My mother was an amazing grandmother and an avid Ganesha devotee.

She had solutions for every problem and a heart of gold.

She gave selflessly to the community and she would sacrifice anything to make others happy. My mom wanted everyone to be happy.

She was the rock in our family. I know she is with the angels and that she will guard us from up there.

She was the best mom, wife, grandmother, mom-in-law, sister and friend. She was my best friend and confidant. All people tell us is what a beautiful heart and smile she had.

Mom, we would like to thank you for all your sacrifices and fighting to stay alive for us. Shine down on us now, our guardian angel.

Love from your husband, kids and granddaughter.

Rest well now.
