My father … my first love

ARUSHA SINGH Centurion

MY DAD, Randheer Singh, lived in Phoenix and he was a successful businessman.

He served and treated everyone with respect and dignity and made sure that my mom, siblings and I were never short of anything.

My dad never saw anything as a difficult task and he always had a solution to every problem.

The bond we had was one that will live on forever.

My father died in a tragic accident in Dundee on May 5, 2017.

The attached picture was of my mehendi night more than 10 years ago.

I fondly remember that he had arranged for a generator so that load shedding did not interrupt my special evening.

My dad never sat idle. He was always mending something around the house.

He loved doing what he did and he did it so well until his last breath.

He was the glue that kept us together. We had a special bond – as they say, a dad is a daughter’s first love.

His memory lives on forever and we will continue to keep his legacy alive and make him proud.

We hope that he, together with our ancestors, continue to bless, guide and protect us not only during Pitra Paksha but every day going forward.
