My uncle had the best dance moves

PREMA NAIDU

AN EXAMPLE of a perfect uncle was my uncle, Richard Pillay, of Isipingo Beach. He died on August 3.

He was a man of class and integrity and he was honourable. My uncle cherished the things that money could not buy.

To him, a man’s wealth was measured by the love and care he had for his family. If a man’s success was measured by what his wife and children say about him, my uncle was the most successful man in the world.

My aunt and cousins were his life and I respect him so much for all the care and love he gave them.

He spoiled my aunt, Pinky, and treated her like a queen. Valencia was his princess and Marlen and Brandon were his soldiers.

My uncle’s jovial character and laugh were infectious.

Everyone who knew him would agree that he was the funniest dude around. His jokes would leave you in stitches and he had the best dance moves.

Thank you, Richard Uncle, for loving us so much, for caring for us so much and for taking the role of a dad in all the girls’ lives. You were an amazing man, a king and a hero in my eyes.

No amount of time and distance will break the bond and love we share. And not even heaven and earth will separate this bond. You will always live in my broken heart. My dear uncle, until we meet again, I will always love and miss you.
