A new chapter begins
HEMINI BHOWANDAS Johannesburg
IN LOVING memory of my dad, Parvinsh Narsing, of Springs, Johannesburg, and my masi (my mom’s sister), Veena Vather, from Melbourne, Australia, formerly from Verulam. We tragically lost them on February 26 and 28 this year.
Death is such a cruel life experience. When it happens, we cannot help but ask "why"? Fortunately, our scriptures provide us with comforting answers.
Knowing that our loved ones begin a new chapter of their journey, knowing that we are able to keep them alive through the values and memories they have given us, and knowing that we can honour them in such a special way during Pitra Paksha, provides us with a sense that they are still part of us.
While this time is set aside for us to remember our ancestors, we know in our hearts that they are always with us, constantly cherished by us and missed deeply. Our hearts remain hollow and a constant void remains. We miss you so much. Om Sadgati. Love from your family.
