State capture has affected the economy

IT IS PERCEIVED that the ruling ANC is on a path of redemption to its former glory that will make the past founder members like Walter Sisulu, Oliver Tambo, Nelson Mandela and others proud.

It is obvious that there will be many hurdles to overcome, but under the leadership of President Cyril Ramaphosa it is achievable.

Whether ordinary South Africans like it or not, state capture and corruption have severely retarded economic growth and job creation. The Covid-19 pandemic has added to the country’s woes.

Imagine the situation the country would have been in if state capture was not reined in. There is a breath of fresh air blowing through our law enforcement agencies like the NPA, the SIU and the Hawks, etc. That means bringing the perpetrators of malfeasance to book.

Hopefully, there will be more arrests when the Zondo Commission of Inquiry into allegations of state capture wraps up its work.
