Country has no home for totalitarians

THE letter by Venolin Govender, “No equality for Indians” (the POST, June 9-13), refers.

By birth, I am proudly a South African-practising-Hindu and not an Indian.

In every sphere of my life, I am constitutionally free from, and protected from, any racial abuse.

Govender’s mindset dates back to the apartheid era by looking for favouritism for a particular grouping.

We have constitutional courts to address racial abuse brought before it.

The Palestine Liberation Organisation, during the height of apartheid, had made meaningful contributions to our Struggle.

In this hour of its need, we must muster and garner support for its cause.

Govender’s entire grievance smacks of racism, and South Africa has no home for such totalitarians to be entertained.
